Testing the Roobilee Jumper

So, I’ve worn the jumper a few times now. I can tell you the material is very comfortable. It’s a bit too heavy for the heat of a summer in Texas, though it’s breathable enough that it’s not awful. Just keep in mind, the material is almost not even fully opaque because it’s more on the lighter side of a medium weight knit…it’s just that Texas is the equivalent of Satan’s oven in the summer. In less tropical zones, I don’t think the weight would be too oppressive to wear in the summer.

Biggest concern is that it is NOT wrinkle resistant! Just know that if you plan on packing it for a trip, you’ll need to let it hang in the bathroom when you take a shower. The heat and moisture will steam out the wrinkles. Of course…it might just be that I never fold anything and I shove it in a wad in the bag because when I wore it around and sat in it, it didn’t appear to give me the same level of wrinkles as pulling it out of my suitcase.

Using the…facilities (if you know what I mean) got real easy when my sister pointed out that the legs are both big enough and stretchy enough that you could probably…ya know. And what do you know? You absolutely can hike the leg up and over to the side enough to do business without removing the entire garment. And I just realized as I wrote this, I don’t know how it would work if you wore underwear. And now that I say THAT, I’m broadcasting I was commando. In my defense, the underwear I’d packed for the trip was all black and therefore visible so I opted out. The 2nd time, I just didn’t have any clean laundry so…sacrifices were made.

I have yet to put the hook on the cleavage but it’s a must! Otherwise it’s tiddies out everywhere.

I love the larger sized legs, they are a bit flappy if you don’t align them before the start of a walk.

The pockets are big enough to hold a phone, but I found that when I actually used them with my phone…the weight was enough to give the rest of the garment a little downwards drag. Not terrible, but I had to adjust the waist ties a little tighter to counteract it.

All in all, it’s ended up looking a little more classy than an “around the house” garment. Given the heatwave in Texas, I’m finding that I don’t want to wear much more than a tank and booty shorts to avoid heatstroke, but I am definitely looking forward to wearing the jumper in the spring and fall seasons!
